Charming mountain retreat in the heart of Black Mountain! This spacious one-bedroom suite with a queen size bed is perfect for couples or solo adventurers. Located just steps from the Downtown Historic District, you can easily walk to famous shops, restaurants, and breweries. Enjoy a fully-equipped space with fast Wi-Fi and a cozy atmosphere. Please note, this is an upper-level unit requiring stair access.

Good to know

Black Mountain Lodge has five units, each with a separate entrance. There are some steps up to the front porch. From there you will find the entry, where there is a stairway leading up from the front porch bringing you to Apartment 3. This 388 sq ft space faces the front of the house and offers beautiful views of the mountains. The entry brings you to the small but well appointed kitchen, where you will find everything you need for preparing meals, including a drip coffee maker. The adjoining bedroom features a couple of swing style chairs and a smart tv you can use to log into your streaming subscriptions. There are lots of windows that bring in natural light and give the space a cheerful atmosphere. There is 1 queen bed for sleeping up to 2 guests. Due to fire zoning regulations we cannot allow cots or air mattresses on the floor. This home is over 100 years old and sits among large, old trees. Unfortunately due to this setting, insects will often make their way into the home. This is a non smoking property. We allow 1 pet, and if you bring one please be considerate of other groups in the building. Please no dogs that bark if you are away. Dogs must be in a crate if left alone. Keep dogs on a leash at all times.

This is a non smoking, non vaping property, inside or outside. Please note that we do not have a front desk or concierge service. Staying with us will require some “self sufficiency”. You can self check in any time after 4pm and self check out any time before 10am on your day of departure. We are available during reasonable hours to address any questions or concerns, but please note that we are not a corporation and do not have 24 hour staff. This is a very old house with gas furnaces for heat and window units for air conditioning. You may hear your neighbors. But we do ask that all guests be respectful of one another and that guests with pets, not bring barking dogs that will bother others in the house. This is a non smoking, non vaping property. No smoking or vaping inside or outside on the property. 1 small pet allowed. No pets on furniture. All pets to be in a kennel when owners are not present. All pets to be on a leash when outside and in a kennel if left alone inside the apartment. It is the pet owner's responsibility to clean up pet feces from the yard. For the safety of other guests and the house, we only accept direct bookings from guests that can be verified. No 3rd party bookings.

Clean, warm, and quiet, equipped with everything we needed, and a short walk to downtown Black Mountain. Great spot if you’re looking for somewhere walkable and quiet that’s still only a 30 minute drive to Asheville and super close to plenty of hiking trails like Lookout Mtn, Graybeard, and East Ridge! This place was just what we needed. It is very quiet and walkable to anything in Blk Mtn. We were able to relax and enjoy all the things we came to Blk Mtn for without having g to worry about parking of driving, the bed was comfy and the heater kept things as toasty as you'd ever want. We recommend this place to anyone who visits. Suite 3 is what we stayed in and was great for everything we needed. Definitely will be back!!!!

Our stay with Rebekah was so nice! We were so close to downtown Black Mountain and also the interstate so it made exploring very easy, whether we were walking or driving. It was also heartwarming and comforting to stay in a pet friendly room and come back to our sweet kitty every night! This is definitely a hidden gem and worth the trip! Absolutely no regrets!
